The Rivers State Police Command on Monday hosted a luncheon to honour media professionals for their contributions to promoting the police force’s activities.
Speaking at the event, the State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, highlighted the importance of the media in showcasing the positive achievements of the police.
He stated that the event aims to commend the press for their crucial role in showcasing their efforts and successes, emphasizing that the media have been invaluable partners in raising public awareness of their work.
He encouraged journalists to continue highlighting the achievements of the police while promoting collaboration among the media, stakeholders, and the police to enhance service delivery.
The luncheon included officers of the command, media representatives, and invited guests who enjoyed a variety of meals during the event.
