There are reports that a new militant group in Rivers State known as ‘Bayan-Men’ has attacked an oil facility belonging to the Nigeria Agip Oil Company in Omoku.
It was reported that the incident which took place this evening caused panic in the area as residents scampered for safety.
This is following the expiration of the 24-hour ultimatum issued to the company by the militants to address their demands.
The group had few days ago attacked an oil facility belonging to the company.
The relevant security agencies are yet to confirm the incident.
