As the world marks World Malaria Day 2025, the Rivers State Ministry of Health has reiterated its commitment to reducing the malaria burden and achieving zero malaria-related deaths across the state.
In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry acknowledged the ongoing threat malaria poses to communities and pledged to intensify efforts in prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment.
“We are determined to create a healthier future for our people by prioritizing malaria control and elimination,” the statement read. “Together, we can build a malaria-free Rivers State where everyone can thrive.”
The Ministry encouraged collective action from residents, healthcare workers, and stakeholders to ensure lasting progress in the fight against the disease.
