PORT HARCOURT – The Rivers State Government on Wednesday called on youths across the state to participate in the ongoing 89th Regular Recruitment Intake exercise for trades and non-trades personnel into the Nigerian Army.
The appeal was made during a visit by a delegation from the Nigerian Army Headquarters, led by Brigadier General Wito Nzidee, to the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Lucky Worika, in Port Harcourt.
Worika assured the Army team of the state government’s support in mobilizing youths to take advantage of the recruitment opportunity. He emphasized that the state’s administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd), a former military officer, recognizes the value of military service and is committed to encouraging young people to enlist.
