Effiong Okon has been appointed the new commissioner of police in Rivers state.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Police spokesperson made the announcement on Thursday.
Okon, replaces newly appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police, Eboka Friday.
The new CP would be the command’s 43rd commissioner of police.
Former CP, Eboka Friday is now the AIG in charge of zone 16 comprising Rivers and Bayelsa commands.
