The Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has appointed Olatunji Disu as the new Commissioner of Police in Rivers State.
Disu replaces Polycarp Emeka Nwonyi. The IGP also appointed seven other commissioners to lead different commands .
The IGP said the new development is geared towards ensuring efficiency in the policing system across the state.
Before now, Disu was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and previously served at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for Rivers Command as the Deputy Head of the Unit.
