The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State says the state cannot run without a budget as the 2024 budget has not been presented and passed.
Acting Chairman of the party, Tony Okocha in a statement on Monday, said Gov. Sim Fubara must present the state budget to the Martin Amaewhule-led Assembly as agreed in the peace deal brokered by President Tinubu.
Okocha accused Fubara of not being sincere in the implementation of the peace deal, adding that he must willingly obey the peace pact he signed before the President.
He said, “In one breath, the governor will probate and reprobate at the same time.
“You don’t say one thing during the day and another at night. It will not work.”
“He (Fubara) must obey the dictates of the proclamation he willingly accepted in the presence of President Tinubu.
