Few hours after the Chairman of Emohua LGA, Hon. Chidi Lloyd declared one Onuigwe Nwodi wanted and placed a one million naira bounty on his head on Monday evening, there was heavy gun battle between heavily armed gunmen and security operatives in the area.
Sources say the clash occurred at the Crude Oil Manifolds, as the gunmen launched an attack on the facility.
They said the incident which threw residents into panic started at about 9:00pm and lasted well over 40 minutes.
The Council boss, yeseterday accused Nwodi, a native of Elibrada of being behind crime and criminality in the area, adding that he wants him dead or alive.
He also said the local vigilante in the area will no longer be paid until the suspect is apprehended.
