The Speaker of the Tenth Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek re-election in 2027, assuring him of overwhelming support from Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and Rivers State at large.
Amaewhule made the declaration on Monday while participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Delegates Congress held at Rumuodolu in Obio/Akpor LGA.
Addressing party faithful and stakeholders, the Speaker reaffirmed the political alignment of the people of Obio/Akpor with the President, stressing that the area would stand firmly behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and urged him to re-contest, pledging what he described as “massive support” from the people of the state.
The congress, described as peaceful and transparent, produced three Local Government Ad-hoc delegates: Hon. Chidi Amadi, Dr Chituru Adele, and Princess Urey Ejims.
