The Rivers State Government has warned commuters not to board tricycles known as “Keke-Napep” plying major roads as it contravenes government directive.
The state Commissioner for Transport, Osima Ginah who gave the warning in a statement yesterday said, anyone caught in any tricycle plying any of the major roads would be arrested alongside the keke operator.
He noted that the ministry arrested some keke drivers who flouted the government’s directive yesterday.
This was when they embarked on a tour of different major roads across the state to enforce the ban on keke operations.
