Rivers State has recorded 6 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 86 with 21 discharged and 4 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre further announced 245 new cases of the COVID19, in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number with 131, 16-Jigawa 13-Ogun 12-Borno 9-Kaduna 9-Oyo 9-Rivers 9-Ebonyi 8-Kano 7-Kwara 5-Katsina 3-Akwa Ibom 3-Sokoto 2-Bauchi 2-Yobe 1-Anambra 1-Gombe 1-Niger 1-Ondo 1-Plateau 1-FCT 1-Bayelsa.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 7261 with 2007 discharged and 221 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases in the Country, as the country is on course to curb its spread.
