Rivers Ranks Second on List of States With Highest IGR in 2023

Civic organization BudgIT has ranked Rivers State as second on the list of states with the highest Internally Generated Revenue in 2023.

BudgIT disclosed this on its official website on Friday with Lagos topping the list.

States and amount generated are as follows;

Lagos: N840 billion (highest in Nigeria)
Rivers: N203 billion
Ogun: N146 billion
Delta: N99 billion
Kaduna: N62 billion
Edo: N59 billion
Oyo: N51 billion
Kwara: N48 billion
Akwa Ibom: N43 billion
Ondo: N40.9 billion
Kano: N40.5 billion

It said the remaining 12 states had IGR below N40 billion.
