A Facebook user, simply identified as ‘Je Re My’ has taken to Social media to say that his little cousin, Chiburoma Friday, a student of the Rivers State Polytechnic, was among those Kidnapped by unknown Gunmen on Monday.
“Je Re My” who appealed to her abductors to release his cousin, said she was one of those abducted while traveling to Port Harcourt.
Popular Port Harcourt blogger, Nkiru Homann had reported the alleged abduction of the students on Monday.
The Rivers State Police Command had dismissed the incident, as false.
Spokesperson of the command, Nnamdi Omoni in a statement, said preliminary investigation carried out with the school authorities revealed that no such thing happened.
Meanwhile, Nkiru Homann has maintained that the incident happened, as she warned the state Police Command not to politicize the matter
