The Rivers State Police Command, says it has arrested a member of a gang that allegedly abducted and killed one Justice Azundah said to be the Chief Protocol Officer of the former Chief of Staff, Rivers State Government House, Emeka Woke.
The state Commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwonyi, made this known at a press conference in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
He said the suspect was arrested after operatives of the command raided the den of notorious kidnappers in Emuoha Local Government Area of the state.
He also said one suspect was killed and that one pump action rifle with a bag containing 22 rounds of live cartridges was recovered from the scene.
The CP added that Investigation is still in progress as efforts are on to recover other operational weapons and arrest other suspects.
