A Police Officer accused of raping a 17-year-old-girl in Rivers State, says the girl withdrew the sum of five hundred thousand naira from his account after he gave her his ATM card to go and eat.
The officer in a chat with journalists denied raping the girl, as she consented to the love making.
He explained that he started receiving debit alerts immediately he handed over the card to the girl and her friend.
Meanwhile, the girl accused the policeman of raping her and threatening to upload her naked picture on Facebook after he promised to help her secure a job.
She said the suspect has been threatening her after she reported the incident which occurred in March to the Police.
Stakeholders in Rivers State have called on the State Command to properly investigate the alleged rape incident, and ensure it is not swept under the carpet.
