Some Point of Sale (POS) shops at Rumuagholu area of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, were yesterday robbed by heavily armed men.
Sources say, the heavily armed robbers, invaded the area at 11am on Thursday, robbed residents of their valuables and shot sporadically in the air.
According to an eyewitness, six shops were robbed at gunpoint, as residents scampered for safety.
It was gathered that two of the robbers were later arrested after the Police chased them up to the Obiri-Ikwerre/Airport road.
Efforts to reach Spokesperson of the State Police Command to react to the incident has not been successful.
