The Rivers State Police Command has declared two senior officials of the Ahoada-East Local Government Area wanted over their alleged involvement in a violent attack on the council’s Sole Administrator, Hon. Goodluck Iheanachor.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the suspects — Mr. Hector Ekakita, Chief Security Officer of the LGA, and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief of Staff — are wanted for criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault occasioning harm, and attempted murder.
According to the police, the incident occurred on June 20, 2025, at the Ahoada-East Council Secretariat, where the officials, alongside a gang of about 30 individuals, allegedly assaulted Iheanachor, inflicted bodily harm on him, forcefully obtained his signature, stole his phones and vital documents, and looted personal and official items from his office.
The Sole Administrator is currently receiving medical treatment following the injuries sustained during the attack.
The Command stated that despite a public notice and formal police invitation, the suspects failed to report for questioning, prompting Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, to declare them wanted.
The police advised the suspects to report immediately to the State Headquarters on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, and warned that anyone found aiding or concealing them would face prosecution.
