The Rivers State Police Command has refuted recent social media claims suggesting that the police orderly assigned to Hon. Justice Mrs Augusta Kingsley Chukwu had been withdrawn.
In an official clarification, the command explained that the officer was temporarily deployed to Anambra State for the off-cycle gubernatorial election, alongside other personnel—a routine operational requirement affecting multiple officers and not specific to the judiciary.
The police assured that upon completion of the assignment, the officer would return immediately to their duty post. The command emphasized that the action was part of a legitimate national duty and not targeted at any individual judge.
“Police remain steadfast in safeguarding all members of the judiciary and the people of Rivers State with integrity,” said SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Police Public Relations Officer.
