The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a motorcycle rider identified as Godstime Innocent in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement on Tuesday, said Innocent was shot dead while trying to resist some armed men from robbing him last night along the Civil Defence road in the area.
According to her, investigation is ongoing in the matter, adding that the command will ensure the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in the incident.
As you may there have been reports of killings in Ahoada as gunmen have been on rampage.
