The Rivers State Police Command says officers who reportedly kidnapped a hotel staff identified as Mr Darlington on Friday in Port Harcourt have been arrested.
The state commissioner of Police – Olatunji Disu disclosed this in a statement at the Force Headquarters in Port Harcourt on Monday.
He said the suspect was abducted on his way back from work and taken to a bush at Aluu before he was compelled to call his boss, a hotel owner at gunpoint as they demanded for one million naira.
He added that the Hotel owner contacted a Divisional Police Officer who posed as the victim’s father and led officers to the place to arrest the suspects
Disu urged the victim to come forward and make official complaints to aide investigation.
The suspects are of the Borokiri Police Division in Port Harcourt.
