The Police in Rivers State has arrested one of its officers identified as Inspector, Eze Agbelu for allegedly attacking one Miss Jane Amos with a burning stove.
The incident occurred yesterday, at the Rumuokuta axis of Port Harcourt.
The woman, in a chat with journalists said the officer threw the burning stove on her while she was cooking in front of her room, after slapping her.
She said the officer had earlier shouted at her for bathing her niece inside the compound since the bathroom was occupied.
The woman, who suffered severe Burns and have been hospitalized alleged that the officer has been pestering her for a relationship.
