Fifteen persons were yesterday, remanded in prison custody by a Chief Magistrate in Port Harcourt, for allegedly disrupting the screening exercise of the People’s Democratic Party.
Chief Magistrate, Amadi Nna remanded the accused persons after listening to arguments from both counsels.
The accused persons were arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on unlawful gathering, conspiracy and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
The Magistrate, adjourned the matter to May 26 2022 for continuation of bail application, after the accused persons had pleaded not guilty.
