A member of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State and strong supporter of Governor Nyesom Wike, Ihuanne John has accused the governor’s aides of physically assaulting him for simply cheering the governor.
John, in a Facebook post said the incident happened on Thursday at Rumuola junction, while the governor was inspecting on going projects in the area.
He said his crime was cheering the governor he worked for during the 2015 Governorship election as a party agent.
His statement reads,
“I have been rewarded for being a cheerful supporter of Gov.Nyesom Wike Con, Pos and also a party faithful to the ruling peoples Democratic party P d.p in Rivers State.
“I was humbly rewarded by the Governor’s Aides and orderlies today the 22nd of July 2021 @Rumuola Junction PH , during his project tour /inspection with a dehumanizing assault and beat for cheering up the man I worked for and voted into power since 2015 till date.
“To well meaning Rivers Sons and Daughters of this noble Rivers State, my post is made here not for a calculated attempt to mal or defame the proactive Governor of the state but to save this memories here for posterity purposes.
“I also wish to state categorically that , the Governor never ordered them (Aides) to dehumanize me, rather they acted upon themselves with the conviction that I can’t do them nothing which is very correct, I rest my case into God’s hands for judgement.
“I believe in the school of thought that says “A son of nobody ,will one day become somebody.”As I write, I ‘ am severely injured around my vertebrae bone ,my head aches severely, Swollen Eyes and wounded and fractured legs.Our bible says , in all things, give thanks and praise to God.I pray and thank God for life.
