The Factional Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Robinson Ewor, has said that the party will take disciplinary action against the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and all those who collaborated with him to harm the party.
During a press briefing on Monday, Ewor announced that a national reconciliation and disciplinary committee has been established at the national level, which will also be implemented at the state and local levels to reconcile members and punish those who violate party regulations.
“There is a national reconciliation and disciplinary committee at the national. We will replicate that at the State and local level. We will sanction Wike and sanction all those that collaborated with him to bring down PDP,” he said
According to him, Wike has already done everything possible to damage the party, which he did not help to create, so there is no new harm he can inflict. He claimed that Wike’s gubernatorial ambitions in 2015 contributed to Goodluck Jonathan losing the presidency, which ultimately caused the party to lose power at the national level. He added that since Wike became governor, the fortunes of the PDP have declined.
“There is no new damage he will do to the party again because in 2015 I told you, his governorship ambition caused Jonathan the presidency. His governorship ambition made PDP to lose the government at the center that was the major damage the FCT Minister caused the party. I’m not sure there is any bigger damage he will do than this. In 2019 he did the same thing. In 2023 he organized what he called G-5, their actions, their activities robbed the PDP of the presidency. There is nothing new, what is left now is for the party to sanction him appropriately,” he added.
