AMBASSADOR DESMOND AKAWOR BUILT THE LORD’S CHOSEN CHARISMATIC REVIVAL MINISTRY, EGBERU NDOKI, TO THE GLORY OF GOD
Yesterday, The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry located at Egberu Ndoki, Oyigbo LGA which was built as service to God by Ambassador Desmond Akawor, was dedicated to the glory of God and fully handed over to the church by the family of Ambassador Akawor.
Describing why he chose to take this selfless step, he stated that his life and that of his family changed positively when he started attending The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry back in 2008, while serving as Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Korea, adding that the moment his family attended the service at Seoul, they collected decided to become members of the church because the doctrine resonated with him, his wife and kids.
He stated that since becoming a member, his blessings expanded in leaps and bounds, describing in detail, the various ways God has blessed and positioned his family. He said the only way to show his gratitude to God who has used the church to shape his life positively, is to build and donate a parish of the church in his village for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which will in turn win more souls for the kingdom of God.
He stated that God is a focal point in his home, career and life and that was why he reintroduced, One Hour With Jesus at the State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State, where he serves as the State Chairman, noting that since he made it a tradition, God has always given the party seamless victory at all times the party is faced with crisis or elections, without a single gunshot because, “while others have guns, I have God and that is more important”.
The founder and General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, through his representative and National Pastor, Pastor Amaechi Agbakoba, stated that nobody fails when they partner with God because that is the greatest sacrifice a man can make in serving God.
Prayers were offered for the family, for more increase and blessings, as they have continued to serve God with their presence and resources.
Pastor Agbakoba advised all present to take a leaf off the book of Ambassador Desmond Akawor to remember God in all they do, no matter how highly placed they may be in the society.
The Senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Barry Barinada Mpigi speaking on behalf of the invitees from the political class, commended Ambassador Desmond Akawor for adding value to the body of Christ, adding that as a result of this, him, the member representing Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo Federal Constituency, at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Felix Nwaeke, the Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison and the State Secretary of the PDP, Dr. Benibo George and the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Hon. Allwell Ihunda, have decided to make a sizeable donation to the church, to support the work of God in the area.
