Students from Opobo/Nkoro local government council of Rivers state in tertiary institutions across the country have commended chairman of the council, Hon. Enyiada Cookey-gam for paying them bursary.
The students in a statement at the weekend expressed gratitude to the chairman for the kind gesture.
According to them, the chairman has through the support shown that he has the interest of students at heart.
We gathered that the sum of twenty thousand naira were paid to the students to assist them in their academic pursuit.
Recall that the chairman had in a statement promised to pay bursary to assist them financially.
