The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has condemned the attack on one of its members, Segun Owolabi by unknown gunmen in Port Harcourt, few days ago.
Chairman of the union in the state, Stanley Job Stanley, during a solidarity visit to Silverbird Communication, called on security agencies to do more in their task of protecting lives and properties.
He said the security situation in the state is not encouraging as nowhere is safe.
Stanley stated that there is every reason for residents to be worried due to the level of insecurity in the state.
He called on the government and security agencies to ensure adequate security of lives and properties, so people can freely move around.
