The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has condemned the attack on journalists covering the #EndBadGovernance protest in Port Harcourt.
Chairman of NUJ in the state, Stanley Job Stanley in a statement said the attack is a threat to press freedom.
According to him, journalists are also affected by the hardship in the country, and should not be attacked for whatever reason.
He called on security agencies to ensure the protection of journalists and peaceful protesters during the protests.
