The NSCDC in Rivers State says the command has arrested six suspected oil thieves after an illegal petroleum site was discovered by its anti-vandal team.
Commandant of the commission, Michael Ogar, made this known in a statement on Friday.
He also said the commission impounded 24,000 litres of engine oil seized from the suspects.
He explained that the team recovered seven drums of illegal petroleum products suspected to be counterfeited and adulterated engine oil.
Ogar, warned those involved in the illegal act to desist from it as anyone caught will be dealt with inline with the laws of the land.
