The Labour Party in Rivers State has denied claims that the party plans to hold its congress in secret.
Factional chairperson of the party in the state, Hilda Dokubo disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, Today.
She wondered how barricading of its office in the state by the NLC will solve the issues on ground, adding that the party does not belong to the NLC.
Meanwhile the NLC in the state said it will continue to barricade the LP office until it receives a directive from its National.
The NLC is calling for the removal of National Chairman of the LP, Julius Abure for allegedly planning to hold a secret congress.
