Comr. Felix Agwangwor has been elected as the new chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State.
Agwangwor, shortly after his emergence, promised to prioritise the welfare of workers, and emancipate workers in the state from draconian employers.
He also promised to restore the hope and confidence of workers in the state.
“As a leader of the congress, I will ensure that the hope and confidence of workers in Rivers State is restored back,” he said.
“For the retirees and pensioners, we have our plans and we will ensure that they are not owed. We will make sure that every issues regarding the welfare of workers in Rivers State is settled for the interest of the workers,” he added.
