A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife at the Rumuagholu axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The incident, reportedly occurred few days ago.
Eyewitnesses say the husband hit the wife with a pestle, after she came back home late from work.
They said, while the woman was trying to explain what transpired, the husband brought out a pestle and hit her on the head.
She fell and died on the spot, before she could be rushed to the hospital, one of them said.
Neighbours immediately alerted the Police who came and arrested the man.
The Rivers State Police Command, was yet to react to the incident, as at the time of filing this report.
