The Rivers State Local Government Service Commission has announced the commencement of a biometric verification exercise for all local government workers and pensioners across the state’s 23 councils.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Israel Amadi, the Commission said the exercise aims to update personnel records and ensure an accurate database for effective administration. Staff have been instructed to pick up pre-printed verification forms containing their names at their respective council offices, complete them, and submit with all required documents by Thursday.
The Commission further urged workers to provide active mobile numbers to enable them receive SMS notifications on the schedule and venue for their physical biometric capture. It expressed appreciation to staff and retirees for their cooperation toward a seamless and transparent process.
