The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), says it will employ over 20,000 Adhoc staff for the conduct of the forthcoming April 17, local government election.
Chairman of the commission Retd. Justice George Omereji dislocesd this in a statement today.
He stated that the Commission will also commence screening of candidates of political parties this week.
Justice Omereji noted that the commission did not exclude the names of some political parties from partaking in the election, as it got the list from the Independent National Electoral Commision.
He assured that the elections will be free fair and credible, while noting that the State Governor has fully funded the commission.
