Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization, Solomon Lenu has raised an alarm over the unlawful activities of some mobile Police officers in the State.
Lenu, in a statement on Friday said, some officers were seen shooting indiscriminately, at NLNG roundabout in Port Harcourt.
According to him, he ran for safety when he sighted them, adding that such persons should not be in service.
His statement reads,
I thought we #EndedSars? So who are these rascals on unmarked plain shirts shooting indiscriminately at young men and causing public disturbance right now at NLNG roundabout?
I saw it with my own eyes, I even ran for safety, these criminals shouldn’t be in service for whatever reason. Share until it gets to the authorities.
Note: they were even in private cars shooting at other young men for whatever reason I can’t tell.
