Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, in Rivers State, Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo has assured Gov. Sim Fubara of the support of Rivers youths amid the political crisis in the state.
Speaking, during a press conference in Port Harcourt, Ihunwo urged the governor not to be afraid as they are solidly behind him.
According to him, any move to impeach the governor will be resisted, adding that the amaewhule-led assembly lacks the power to do so.
He called on President, Bola Tinubu to call the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Tony Okocha and Martin Amaewhule to order to forestall an outbreak of law and order.
Ihunwo also advised the LG chairmen to vacate their offices at the expiration of their tenure on June 18th 2024 or be prepared to face Rivers youths.
