An indigene of Bile community, in Rivers State, Alapakabia Tobin, has called on the Inspector General of Police, and the State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday to investigate what he termed an asassination attempt on his life.
Alapakabia, who made this known in a statement, alleged that he was beaten to a stupor by the outgoing Chairman of the community, Orisa Adoki and some hoodlums at Bile jetty, yesterday.
He said this was after he was chosen as the next chairman of the community.
His statement reads,
It is well on my assassination attempt buy i gave God all the glory.
However, I call on the inspector general of police, the police commissioner of rivers state and the Deputy commissioner of Police, rivers state and other human rights activists including the area commander port Harcourt demanding uninterrupted investigation for this barbaric act on me.
My brother just bcos I was chosen to be the next community chairman in Ibimina polo community, bille water front Port Harcourt where I live upon tenure expiration that is all the out gone chairman Mr Orisa Adoki and some hoodlums led by him attack me to kill me if not the help of some community youths who resist them I don’t know what may happen not only me they also attack some of my supporters.
And the said matter is even in high and, they were served on Friday by the bailiff that why should a bailiff serve them they decided to take this barbaric act on me. so for the matter is presently at area command for investigation petitioned by a counsel for assassination, attempted murder, assault and others.
