The Rivers State Ministry of Health led by Hon. Adaeze Oreh has visited the widow of one of the victims of the Akpajo-Eleme Tanker fire who lost his life after weeks of treatment at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
The Ministry who made this known in a statement Today, said the victim played a significant role in preventing more casualties during the incident.
It said, “You may recall that several months ago, there was a petroleum tanker blast at the Akpajo-Eleme road in Rivers State. We had visited one of the survivors of that incident at #UniversityofPortHarcourtTeachingHospital, where he recounted the horrific accident and the role he played in preventing more casualties. Unfortunately, despite weeks of treatment at #UPTH #BurnsUnit, he did not survive.
“Recently, the Rivers State Ministry of Health visited his widow and the family to condole with them and to pay our respects.
May his valiant soul rest in perfect peace, and may the Almighty grant the family the grace, comfort, and strength needed to bear this painful loss.
