The Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr Adaeze Oreh on Wednesday commissioned two newly built Primary Healthcare facilities in Okoloile and Otunria communities, both in Andoni LGA.
The facilities were constructed by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lazarus Gogoteh Nteogwuile, as part of his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises to the people of Okoloile, Otunria, and Otuafu.
Speaking at the event, Oreh emphasized the critical need for healthcare facilities in remote communities, particularly in areas like Otunria and Otuafu, which are accessible only by water. She stressed that timely access to these health services can significantly improve health outcomes in emergencies.
She praised the LGA Chairman for his dedication to improving healthcare access and assured him of the full support of the Rivers State Ministry of Health in deploying personnel and providing any additional equipment needed to ensure the facilities operate at full capacity.
