The Head of the Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. George C. Nwaeke, mni, has charged workers in the State Public Service to exhibit good leadership styles and have positive work culture to bring back the glory of the Public Service in the State.
Dr. Nwaeke made the call during tour of facilities within the state secretariat complex on Friday where he reiterated Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s assurance to give priority attention to the welfare of civil servants in the State.
“You will recall that the Governor recently visited the state secretariat complex and has mandated that all utilities be made functional. We are working towards this mandate and in no time; these challenges will be a thing of the past”, he said.
He explained that workers must give optimal support for the administration of Governor Fubara and take pride in rendering services for the progress and development of the state.
He further noted that behaviours such as dereliction of duties and misconduct will not be condoned.
