Unconfirmed reports say heavily armed gunmen are currently on rampage at Elibrada and Oduoha communities in Emouha Local Government Area of Rivers State.
A Facebook user identified as Nlewedum Emmanuel in a post said gunmen have taken over the Emouha axis of the East West Road.
He said the Police could not withstand the battle which lasted over an hour, and scampered for safety.
“Heavy Gunshots Lasting for Almost An Hour Now, As Gunmen Take over Emohua Axis of the East-West Road. Motorists, Commuters Stranded, Cry for Help,” he said.
“Police Couldn’t Withstand the Gun battle With the Blood Sucking Gunmen That Took Over the Emohua Axis of the East West Road (from Council Secretariat up to Elibrada to Oduoha under seige) Today Saturday, October 15th, 2022,” he added.
