The Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party in the March 18 governorship election in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubo, says she would challenge the Appeal Court judgement on the election at the Supreme Court.
Itubo whose case was struck out by the Court says she has directed her legal team to challenge the Appeal Court judgement at the apex court.
She made this known when the leadership of the South South Youth Initiative paid him a courtesy visit.
She also said that she do not have any issues with the state governor – Sim Fubara.
“Yes I do not have any personal issues or grudges with the current governor of the state. If at all anything, we are coming from the same background, which is the civil service. He is not a core politician and I am not a core politician but then, things must be done rightly,” she said.
“We have heard the judgment and we have also applied for the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgment and I have told the lawyers to prepare the process of our appeal so we can appeal to the Supreme Court.
“I am not saying we must go there to get Justice, because we have seen how things are going, but let it be on record that we pursued this course to the letter; right or left, justice is what we want,” she added.
