Embattled governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, Arc. Tonye Cole has revealed that he has not suspended his campaign following a federal high court ruling in Port Harcourt.
Speaking on Channels TV “Politics Today” Tonye Cole disclosed that the party has commenced the appeal process of the court ruling which annulled the party’s primaries.
According to him, the party is ever confident and already marching forward.
He debunked reports that the party has suspended her campaign in the state. “We will continue with our programme, we will continue doing what we are doing” he said.
“We are not stopping, we are not ceasing once we are on ballot which is going to happen, we will win” he added.
Tonye Cole also alleged that the crisis been faced in his party are sponsored by external opposition.
“They have taken every political parties to court hoping to stiffen the opposition simply because they are afraid of competition” he said.
Recall that on Wednesday, The state chairman of the APC in Rivers State, High Chief Emeka Beke was reported to have told pressmen that the party has suspended its campaign in the state.
