The strike by tanker drivers in Rivers State, has been suspended follwing the intervention of the Rivers State Government and the state Police Command.
Chairman of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN, Joseph Obele, and chairman of Tanker Drivers in the state, Mr. Johnbosco confirmed it yesterday evening.
According to Obele, loading of Petroleum products starts Today, Friday, August 16 2022.
The meeting between the state government and the unions had ended in a deadlock, as tanker drivers were not shifting grounds, and wanted trucks impounded by security operatives released.
