The Timber market in Rumuosi in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State was yesterday night gutted by fire.
Sources say the fire which started from a sawdust heaped in the market destroyed shops and goods worth millions.
They said it took the intervention of officials of the Federal Fire Service to put out the fire, and that one person was injured in the incident.
The injured person is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
