Dr. Stephen Rotifa, a resident doctor who reportedly slumped at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) while on duty, will be laid to rest today.
Rofita, who served as the 35th president of the Port Harcourt University Medical Students’ Association (PUMSA), will be buried at the Port Harcourt cemetery.
Sources at RSUTH said the young doctor, identified in medical circles as Dr. Femi, had earlier complained of fatigue and ill health but was allegedly compelled to continue working.
The Nigerian Medical Association had vowed to conduct an autopsy to ascertain the cause of his death.
