Political parties in Rivers State have advised the state governor, Sim Fubara to sack chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, over lack of preparedness to conduct LG elections in the state.
Chairman of Zenith Party in the state. Ben Ogbogbula in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt Today, called on the governor to dissolve leadership of the commission.
According to him, the leadership has not shown any sign of readiness to conduct local government elections in the state this year.
As you may know the tenure of Local Government Council chairmen ends in four months time and there have been calls the state government to conduct council elections.
