The Office of the Deputy Governor of Rivers State has dismissed a social media publication alleging that a fresh crisis is brewing within the state government, describing the report as false and unauthorised.
Amirize Michael, Special Assistant on Communication/ICT in the Office of the Deputy Governor said the publication titled “Fresh Crisis Looms in Rivers State Government,” which was circulated on social media by Orange Blog, did not originate from the Deputy Governor or her office.
According to the statement, the report was wrongly attributed to a group claiming to be loyalists of the Deputy Governor, stressing that the claims do not reflect the position or communication of her office.
The statement reaffirmed the Deputy Governor’s commitment to unity, stability, and continued development in the state, noting that she remains supportive of the administration led by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
