A local vigilante group known as Rumuagholu Peace and Advisory Committee, RUSPAC in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, have been accused of using firearms on defaulters of the state-wide curfew.
According to eyewitnesses, since the declaration of the curfew, members of RUSPAC have been inflicting gunshot wounds on defaulters.
They also alleged that members of the group, allegedly attacked a defaulter at Oroazi, on Thursday, shot at him and collected his personal belongings.
Leader of the Vigilante group, Henry Nyebuchi-Amadi when contacted denied any involvement of his men in the crime.
He stated that his officials may have been impersonated by criminals in the area.
Meanwhile, residents the area have called on the Police to Investigate the incidents, and ensure that those found culpable are brought to book.
