Two additional members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have withdrawn from the impeachment plot against Governor Siminalayi Fubara, further weakening the move.
The lawmakers are Emilia Amadi, who represents Obio/Akpor Constituency II, and Barile Nwokah of Khana Constituency I.
Their withdrawal signals deepening cracks within the group behind the impeachment push, with indications that the process is steadily losing momentum.
Political observers say the development suggests the plot is unraveling, as lawmakers are now distancing themselves one after another rather than acting as a united front.
